Our Farm

At Silverfern Farm we take pride in everything we produce.  From Alaskan Malamutes to livestock to fresh fruits and veggies, we take pride in our attention to detail, the quality of our goods and our care for those who use our products.
Silverfern Farm is located in the beautiful Sayward Valley approximately 70 km north of Campbell River on Vancouver Island.  Our 110 acre farm consists of abandoned tree farms with meadows and forests.  We are located right on the banks of the Salmon River.  This area is home to Blacktail Deer, Black Bears, an impressive number of Roosevelt Elk and the occasional Grizzly. Most of our farm lies in a flood plain which regularly floods in the fall with the rise of the Salmon River.  We believe that this factor alone contributes greatly to the fertility of the soil, providing us with an area to grow fruits and vegetables in a natural, healthy setting.
We currently have over 1400 blueberry bushes, 400 raspberry bushes, and over 100 assorted fruit trees growing on our farm.
We also have chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks, pigs, rabbits, goats and honey bees on the farm, supplying the community with healthy free range chicken and duck eggs as well as liquid and comb honey.  Our animals are raised in a healthy, happy environment free from any medication or growth hormones.
We are committed to providing all natural, spray-free fruits and vegetables to the community through our small fruit stand on Sayward Rd.
